Job Description

Growing mid-size law firm is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Downtown Los Angeles team. The Litigation / Trial Paralegal will provide support to attorneys for the full life cycle of cases including during trials, meditations and arbitration. The ideal Litigation / Trial Paralegal candidate will have 7+ years of complex civil litigation defense experience, proficiency with all aspects of litigation and recent courtroom experience.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Trial preparation including witness binders, exhibits, electronic presentations, etc.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining case chronologies, indices and case files
  • Cite checking and proofreading pleadings and briefs
  • Coordinating document productions
  • Assisting with trial logistics including setting up the war room, securing necessary equipment, and set up of files and exhibits in the courtroom
  • Scheduling and tracking depositions, filing deadlines and other case-related deadline

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation defense experience, ideally 10+ years
  • Proficiency with iManage, Casemap, Relativity, Trial Director, Case Notebook or similar programs
  • Public Entity experience highly preferred but not required
